Dating old spice shaving mugs

Offered for sale is an early Old Spice glass shaving mug bearing the 'Ship Friendship' logo and Old Spice red text.
This early example has no inner seams dating it to the late 1940's - early 1950's.
The base is marked "Early American Old Spice" in a top arc with "Shulton Inc., Clifton, N. The arcs are separated with a single star on each side.
